This is the second 10x16 utility shed we have purchased from Lakeside Building Sales. Mike at the Hartwell location has been a joy to work with both times. The electrical package was included on our second shed and I regret not ordering our first shed with the electrical package. At least I can plug in a heat lamp in one of the buildings to keep my baby chicks warm.

We got our 12x32 utility building from Lakeside Building Sales in Commerce. It is the perfect size for us to store our lawncare and landscaping business equipment in. The electrical package comes in handy for battery chargers and blade sharpeners for the mowers. Our rent to own payment is only $400 a month, which is much cheaper than the single bay shop we were renting in town.

The perfect storage shed for our pool equipment and the kids' sports equipment in the summer! The shed has the radiant barrier in the roof and stays surprisingly cool. We special ordered a 10x20 utility from Lakeside Building Sales in Commerce. It was delivered right on schedule. Radiant Barrier, Sprayfoam, and Ridge Vents

Every Smart Shed comes standard with LP TechShield Radiant Barrier Roof Decking which results in up to 30° F. decrease in interior temperatures. Ridge Vents are also standard in every building with, a screened vent at the highest point of the roof. Want a real climate controllable space? We offer sprayfoam insulation as an option in every custom build.

Inferior Gable Vents

No radiant barrier is typically included, turning the shed into an oven with interior temperatures that can exceed 140° F. They typically use cheap gable vents that allow wind-blown rain to soak your belongings. Upgrades like sprayfoam insulation are rarely, if ever, offered.

Heavy Duty Floor Systems

You can sure fit a lot of weight in all that space, so a strong, impermeable floor is a requirement. Our garage buildng floors are so strong, you can and we have parked tractors in them.

Performax 500 Flooring

Every Smart Shed comes standard with Performax 500 Flooring by Huber Engineered Woods. It includes a 25-year manufacturer warranty. It is highly resistant to moisture, has a skid resistant surface, and can be painted.

Standard Plywood/OSB

Susceptible to swelling, warping, and delamination. Absorbs water and oils. Less aesthetically pleasing.

Roof Warranty

Any shed's most important line of defense against the elements is the roof.

40-Year Metal Warranty

We install high quality American steel roofs standard on all Smart Sheds. Our roofs are backed by a 40 year manufacturer warranty.

20-30 Year Warranty

Our competitors often use lower grade metal roofing resulting in shorter rust-through times and paint that fades more quickly.

Wind Safety

Hurricanes, thunderstorms, and other wind events can spell disaster for some portable buildings.

Hurricane Ties and High Wind Anchors

Smart Sheds have Simpson Strong-Tie hurricane screws securely fastening every truss, to the double top plate walls. When you order your shed, ask about high wind anchors for buildings in windy areas.

Hurricane Clips

Other buildings have hurricane clips on only end rafters or even on all rafters. Although effective, they are less aesthetically pleasing and can cause problems if you choose to finish the interior of your shed.
